At Maryport C of E Primary School, PSHE is at the heart of our curriculum. We believe that it helps to give pupils the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy, independent lives, in order to become informed, active and responsible citizens. The work we do in PSHE links directly to the SCARF approach (safety, caring, achievement, resilience, friendship). PSHE also flows through all other curriculum areas to support our children on their journey to Learn, Achieve and Shine.
SCARF is centred on a valued based and a growth mindset approach. SCARF’S online resources support Maryport C of E Primary School by promoting positive behaviour, mental health, wellbeing, resilience, achievement and helping to create a safe learning environment for all children whilst ensuring all statutory content is covered.
